POLICE

The Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 (Commencement) Order 2000

  Made 19th December 2000 

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by Section 79 of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000[1] hereby makes the following Order:

     1. This Order may be cited as the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 (Commencement) Order 2000.

    
2. The provisions of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 specified in the Schedule to this Order shall come into force on 22nd December 2000.

This Commencement Order,which is the first to be made under the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000, brings into force on 22nd December 2000 the provisions of that Act specified in the Schedule to the Order.
